Week 28 - Geese in a Row

Hi there and welcome back to our next block for the Sew A Long 2020.

This week we are making a block all about flying geese. We have made a flying geese block back in Week Nine with Circling Geese. For that block we used the method of making four matching blocks at the same time out of one square. This time we are going to be making our block with the more traditional method of making each section individually.

No panic - you will make these easily and just follow along on the instructions. I have a quick video tutorial on these on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

There is a lot of trimming away with this method. Some bits are just too small for me to keep -

These are the cut away bits from the 6” block - TOO SMALL !!!! Maybe not for you but, as much as it kills me to throw them away, they are too small.

However, the cut aways from the 12” block are a good size so I have saved them. I am turning them into “something” and will post it here with a free pattern for you as well - watch this space.

Have a fantastic week and I will see you here next Wednesday.
