About us …
Quilts are all about home, family, welcome, warmth and love to me. Anytime some one has taken the time to make something, I am always going to love it because it is made with love. I am naturally drawn to warm, vintage and a touch of muted bright colours. The older I get the more I love florals. Throw in a touch of quirky, folk art and whimsy and I’m very happy.
Over the years I have made bits and pieces for friends and family and then had the wonderful experience of opening a quilt shop, The Quilters Cabin in beautiful Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. To play with fabric all day, talk with lovely ladies and drink a lot of coffee was bliss. Then along came our gorgeous daughter so the shop was happily put on hold. Wanting to get back to playing with fabric we have opened again as Delbrook Quilt Company and I am back playing with fabric – bliss again. We stock fabrics from the major designers, patterns and kits featuring these stunning fabrics. Also notions, books and all things needed to make something wonderful.
Our shop hours are Friday 10 - 4 and Saturday 10 - 3.
We are also open other times if you would like to come out - please give me a call and we can make a time that works for you.
We have a wonderful range of fabric, notions and kits to tempt you with and our Retreats and Quilt Tours will still be taking place as usual.
